About the Event

Rotary International is one of the largest service organizations in the world. Its stated mission is to “provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders”. It is a non-political and non-religious organization. Membership is by invitation and based on various social factors. There are over 46,000 member clubs worldwide, with a membership of 1.4 million individuals, known as Rotarians. The Rotary Club of Nagpur is one such club. The following website is created to act as a donation platform through which we collect funds for the needy and the same acts as a confirmation of your participation in the Event. The event is called Rotary – Arneja Walkathon in which we promote a healthy lifestyle. The funds collected through the website are then used for a good cause. Walkathon 2023 is the 18th edition of this flagship event taken up by the Rotary Club of Nagpur with its rich legacy in rotary for the last 78 years. A guest estimated 10000 pax participate in this annual event spread across 3 age categories-(12 to 18 years, 19-60 years, and Greater than 60 years) and 3 competitions (3KM, 6KM, and 10KM) The spirit of the event is fun where we invite families to participate as a unit, schools, and colleges to participate as an institution, corporates to take part with their corporate banners, and of course, individuals to “Walk for Life!” Individuals can carry social message placards as they walk and take part in this competition. People look forward to this annual jamboree with fun, frolic, and fiesta!
